FCCLA-HERO Scholarship Opportunities

Scholarships that will be awarded by specific schools to encourage students to attend them and compete at State Leadership Conference.

Johnson & Wales Scholarships to FCCLA-HERO Membership

 a. $1,000 - Member; no officer position; GPA less than 3.0

 b. $2,000 - Member; no officer position; GPA 3.0 or above

 c. $2,000 - Member; chapter officer position; GPA less than 3.0

 d. $2,500 - Member; chapter officer position; GPA 3.0 or above

 e. $3,000 - Member; two or more chapter officer positions;

                 GPA less than 3.0

 f. $3,500 - Member; two or more chapter officer positions;

                 GPA 3.0 or above

 a. $4,000 - Member; 1 state officer position; GPA less than 3.0

 b. $4,500 - Member; 1 state officer position; GPA 3.0 or above

 c. $5,000 - 2 or more state officer positions; GPA less than 3.0

 d. $6,000 - 2 or more state officer positions; GPA 3.0 or above

 e. $7,500 - National Officer position

 a. Full-tuition Maximum of 2 full-tuition scholarships for each NSO organization for most outstanding candidate as of February 1st.

 a. ProStart program students will also get an additional $1000 renewable scholarship along with FCCLA and other awards.

Culinary Institute of America

Instead of offering scholarships to the top three exhibitors in Cake Decorating and Culinary Arts, the Culinary Institute of America is offering a scholarship essay contest that all graduating seniors who have been an active FCCLA-HERO member for at least one year can enter.  For more details on this opportunity of a $3,000 a year scholarship from CIA see your advisor or contact the state Executive Director at state@mnfccla-hero.org.  Scholarship deadline is February 15th.

The French Culinary Institute

$3,000 Scholarship to the top three exhibitors in Cake Decorating and Culinary Arts.

FCI will also offer all past FCCLA members with a 10% reduction in tuition.

Johnson & Wales University Competitive Event Winners

Scholarships for the top three individuals or teams in the Applied Technology, Culinary Arts, Entrepreneurship, Job Interview and Hospitality STAR Events.  Each individual or team member will receive for -

1st Place: $1,000/year *

2nd Place: $750/year *

3rd Place: $500/year *

*All of which are renewable for up to four years at any Johnson & Wales Campus.  The scholarships will be held for a student to use anytime in the future at any Johnson & Wales Campus.
