Scholarship Opportunities
HERO Connection Scholarship
Minnesota FCCLA-HERO will again be awarding two (2) $500.00 HERO Connection Scholarships at the 2007 State Leadership Conference to local FCCLA-HERO members still in high school. The scholarships will be awarded to students who exhibit outstanding leadership, career development and preparation, scholarship and community service.
Eligibility
1. Open to any present or former FCCLA-HERO member still in high school. 2. Current year's national dues must be paid by March 1, 2007. 3. Applicants must apply during their senior year. 4. Applicants must have a 2.0 GPA or better (based on a 4.0 scale). 5. Applicants must have been involved in one or more FCCLA-HERO activities and have made a significant contribution to a national, state or local chapter project reflecting purposes and ideals of Minnesota FCCLA-HERO. 6. Applications must be postmarked no later than March 1, 2007.

Target awards over six hundred All-Around Scholarships each year - including one $25,000 scholarship - to high school seniors and college students age 24 and younger. Six winners in the under-18 category will each receive a $5,000 scholarship, as well as a $5,000 grant to be used toward continued community service. Three winners in the 19-25 age bracket will each receive a $10,000 community-service grant. Additional information and applications are available on the organization's website.
