Meet the 2004-05 Executive Council
Suana Avdich - President Suana is a senior at Coon Rapids H.S. and this is her first year in FCCLA-HERO. She is excited that the FCCLA Organization will give her the opportunity to develop and grow as an individual and build her career skills for the future. She is the captain of the football and competition cheerleading squad and has been active as a Link Crew leader for the past two years. A Link Crew leader helps incoming freshmen with their transition into high school. National Honor Society is another organization that Suana is a member of. Suana is employed at Brook West Chiropractic Clinic and plans on becoming a doctor. She is a friendly person and has good communication skills. Suana wants to make this a memorable, fun and rewarding year for all members. Her goals include working hard to accomplish the organization's goals and listening to everyone's ideas with an open mind.
Shanise Black – First Vice President Shanise is a senior at Robbinsdale Cooper H.S. and is the Treasurer for the Cooper HERO Program. In the past 3 years, Shanise has been very involved in the African American Culture Group, Black Achievers, the Leaders Club at the Northwest YMCA and has been on the Honor Roll for the past two years. Shanise is very perseverant and goal oriented. She takes pride in her school and job. She works at Kids Foot Locker in the Mall of America and enjoys helping people. She loves counseling her peers and hopes to have a career with teens in the future. She is very excited to participate and contribute to the FCCLA-HERO program!
Alicia Jerome - Vice President of Community Service Alicia is a dedicated senior that shows positive leadership for Coon Rapids High School. She wakes up every morning with a long trip ahead of her. She lives in Bloomington, but drives about 40 minutes every morning to Coon Rapids High School. Now that shows dedication and pride. She joined FCCLA this year and it has made her very excited about what she can offer to the organization and what the organization will do for her. She is employed at Camilia Rose Nursing Home, as a nursing assistant. Alicia is a positive leader and is ready to put her interpersonal skills into effect as an FCCLA-HERO State Officer.
Amelia Kampa - Vice President of STAR/Competitive Events Dedicated, motivated and creative are some words to describe Amelia Kampa! Amelia is a three-year member of the FCCLA-HERO at Champlin Park High School. Currently, she is a senior and a member of the After School Club. Amelia thrives on participating as a positive member and getting involved in the many activities that the organization has to offer. She has attended two FCCLA-HERO State Leadership Conferences and Nationals in Chicago, July of 2004. She works at A -1 Acrylics as a production specialist. Amelia is dedicated to making FCCLA-HERO more well known in each high school around the state.
Jessica Petersen - Vice President of Public Releations Jessica is from Duluth Secondary Technical Center in the Childcare Careers program and plans to be a Kindergarten teacher. Jess is an FCCLA-HERO chapter Co-president and is currently leading a successful fundraising project to benefit the Bethany Crisis Nursery. Volunteer activities include helping in a local Kindergarten class and at St. Mary's Hospital. Jessica is also active in her church youth group. At her high school, Jessica has the honor of being the only 9th grader to be an office cadet this year. Jessica is a good student, a proven leader, and hard worker in the classroom and in the community.

PS: Other words to describe her include: O = organized and outgoing, F = for friendly & W = willingness to help
Charlotte Sandberg –Vice President of Finance Charlotte is a senior at Andover High School and a member of the FCCLA-HERO After School Club. She holds the position of being chapter president and coordinator. Charlotte lives in Andover and currently works at Target, Chance to Grow, and Coldstone when her schedule allows it. She is also captain of the Andover Swim and Diving team. Charlotte has been in FCCLA-HERO for the past 2 years participating at State Leadership Conference in many events. In 2005 she received a gold and 2 silver medals. Charlotte is very committed to FCCLA-HERO. She is punctual, energetic, and likes getting involved in activities. She is an extremely hard worker with determination and the drive to "make things happen."
