Welcome to the 2007-08 school year! What an honor it is to serve as your state president for the 2007-2008 school year. I have so many high expectations for this year. We should start this year off strong by coming together as a group and continuing to work as a group for the entire year.. As your FCCLA-HERO President, I will lead the executive council to create many new ideas to better our workshops at this year’s State Leadership Conference (SLC). Ideas will include community service and volunteering services statewide.
Again this year SLC will be held at the Ramada Hotel and Grand Rios Indoor water park in Brooklyn Park, MN. I really believe that this time is a great opportunity to get to know other members and have fun. SLC is also great opportunity to showcase your chapter and the members’ projects, talents and skills.
The Executive Council is still gathering ideas and if you have any concerns or thoughts to add, please feel free to talk to your advisor and we will gladly take them into consideration.
On behalf of the entire executive council, we look forward to seeing you all April 21st and 22nd! So spread the word and let your ideas be heard because I truly feel this will be an exciting year for all of us. Always remember to smile; you never know who is watching you.
