Kevin Thor
President

Kevin Thor, a senior at Robbinsdale Cooper Sr. High School, who strives to make a difference in life. In his free time, Kevin likes to play with his family and four younger brothers who have the same interests of sports and music. His favorite sports to play are soccer, football, and golf. "Playing is a lot like learning" when he plays with his brothers. "There are always a lot of things to learn from his brothers", said Kevin. Showing dedication through school, Kevin has participated in Cooper Concert Choir for four consecutive year and Varsity soccer for two years. Music is Kevin's all time passion in life. When Kevin is not playing sports, you often hear him singing to himself or whistling down the hallways. Not only in school does he show his hard work, but also in his community by doing Community Service for Service Occupations/ FCCLA-HERO, Student Council and Admission Possible. It's either picking up garbage around his school or bagging food for the Emergency Food Shelf; Kevin always tries to be as helpful as ever. Participating in organizations such as FCCLA/HERO, Varsity sports, Student Council, and Admission Possible; Kevin has gained great respect to be voted Class President among his graduating class. Though there are many things that Kevin has accomplished thus far, he would like to do more community events around his neighborhood. After high school, he plans on attending a four year college to major in Psychology and a minor in the field of Architecture.

Katie Brumbaugh
First Vice President

Katie Brumbaugh is a senior and attends Champlin Park High School as a former Child Care Occupations student and current After School Club member. She is employed as a Child Care Assistant at the Adventures Plus program through the Anoka-Hennepin School District. Last year, Katie was a State Officer and held the role of Vice President of Public Relations. She had such a fantastic experience that she felt compelled to run for office again! Katie has been and continues to be very active in FCCLA-HERO at the local and state level. She has inspired many students and professionals to participate in all the facets of FCCLA-HERO! When needed, you can always count on Katie to be there to help!!

Joua Xiong
Vice President of Community Service

Joua Xiong, a senior at Robbinsdale Cooper High School, works hard at life. As one of the oldest in her family, she has definitely shown Leadership though her years at Cooper. The past two years she has been President of Copper's FCCLA-HERO Service Occupations and she has participated and excelled beyond others. Joua also participate in the Asian Culture Club, who has their very own flag football team, Admission Possible and the William Mitchell College of Law summer Internship. Joua is always putting her best in everything. She brings forth smiles, fun, and joy to the atmosphere. She currently works for Cub Foods in Crystal in the customer service dept., floral dept., and in the summer green house for Cub. Joua is an outstanding helper and Team Leader. After high school, she plans on attending a four year college in Pre-Law and continuing on in Law School.

Pakou Xiong
Vice President of Chapter and Individual Programs

Pakou is a senior at Robbinsdale Cooper High School. She is the youngest in her family of seven. She started Service Occupations/ FCCLA-HERO in 2006. She placed first last year, when competing in the Total Look in Cosmetology event. She is an active person who loves to bring smiles to everyone's face and is also always a great help to others. One other thing that she specializes in, is being organized and is always giving a helping hand! Her extra curricular activities include Admission Possible, Link Crew, Asian Culture Club, as well as Asian American Girls Club. She is currently working at McDonalds part-time. After High School, Pakou is planning to major in Business and Cosmetology.

Hlee Yang
Vice President of Membership

A risk-taker, a bold young woman who wants to seek many things in her life. Hlee Yang moved to the Robbinsdale district 6 years ago and is now a senior at Cooper High School. She has been involved in Asian Culture Club since freshman year and is currently club secretary. Hlee is also on the Cooper Step team. She enjoys the environment and the culture behind Step. During her junior year, she was a Link Crew leader and involved in Admission Possible, which is a program of college preparation; she is in her second year of Admission Possible now. Outside of school, she has been involved in MN-TAP (Minnesota Teens for AIDS/HIV Prevention Program). She has learned many things, made new friends and now advocated HIV/AIDS prevention. She works two jobs at St. Therese and at Marshals. Hlee does not know which university/college she would like to attend. With the help of Admission Possible and Service Occupations, she will strive to do the best for herself and her family.

Corissa Duffy
Vice President of Public Relations

Corissa (FCCLA) Duffy's middle name is FCCLA. Corissa, a junior at Coon Rapids High School, lives, eats and breathes FCCLA-HERO. Corissa's road to "making a different everywhere" began last year as a member of FCCLA-HERO through Child Care Occupations. At Fall Delegate 2006, Corissa set a goal to be a MN State Officer for 2007-08 and she made it a reality. Within our classroom community, Corissa is a true leader. Throughout our school community, she continued promoting FCCLA-Hero and countless FCCLA-Hero activities. Corissa personality shines. Last year at State Leadership Conference, she was awarded a "shining star" award for her enthusiasm, dedication, and friendly approach. That's Corissa for you! Corissa has a contagious smile to match her bubbly approach; pulling everyone she meets into her enthusiasm of FCCLA-HERO. In August, Corissa organized and carried out a FCCLA-HERO Welcome Back Pot Luck. She created and presented a FCCLA Power Point for our past and new members. This event was a huge success and was a great way to start our school year "making a difference everywhere". Corissa makes positive differences in numerous other ways as well; she is a member of our Coon Rapids High School swim team and teaches swimming lessons to children at Roosevelt Pool in Blaine. Corissa will lead us proud as a MN FCCLA-HERO State officer. MN FCCLA-HERO is "M.A.D.E.” In the shade with Corissa Duffy (a.k.a. FCCLA Duffy).

Amber Johnson
Vice President of STAR/Competitive Events

Amber Johnson—is a senior at Coon Rapids high School. She likes to be involved in school and is an active member in her FCCLA Chapter. Her travels have taken her to Egypt for two summers. Amber plans to be an elementary education teacher. To gain knowledge in her career field Amber is working, as a teacher’s aide, at Epiphany Extended Day Program. Amber’s favorite music is country, but she appreciates all types of music. She enjoys listening to people and like to hear what they think.
